SORT OF HAIKUS, always 17 syllables, or <\/strong><\/p>\n

HOW I SPEND MY VIRAL CONTAGION<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 The lobby statue \/ sits with ears up, moving eyes, \/ and masked m-utterings.
\n2.\u00a0 It\u2019s a statue. It\u2019s \/ a bot. No; it\u2019s a chair-full \/ of performance art.
\n3.\u00a0 Flowers flourish. Some \/ tending, no trimming. Mother \/ Nature dresses up.
\n4.\u00a0 Bistro coffee is \/ gone. Charlie\u2019s bittery blend \/ makes me twittery.
\n5.\u00a0 Today we can go \/ outside again, but it is \/ raining and cold. Sigh.
\n6.\u00a0 Masks take away lip \/ reading, a big loss for those \/ who need it to hear.
\n7.\u00a0 YOU TUBE\u2019s vinyard sheep \/ by day; BBC radio \/ all night Soothers.
\n8.\u00a0 No mask. VIOLATION! \/ Too close. VIOLATION! \/ Too far. VIO…punch!
\n9.\u00a0 Hall walkers think we baa, \/\u00a0 like sheep, or \u201cdrop [gaseous, \/ disastrous] roses\u201d.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a010. My apartment door \/ always stays open, so I \/can always get out.<\/p>\n

11. Pier beckons. Wheel \/ chair totes new flag lawn-chair, so \/ Charlie can sit, too.
\n12. Charlie says I\u2019m a \/\u00a0 very difficult person. \/ Goodness knows, I try.
\n13. Nothing will ever \/ be the same again, but then \/ it never was. Sigh.
\n14. No groups, no outsiders, \/ delivered meals. \/ Wear masks, scrub hands often.
\n15.\u00a0Deaf-ish, masked colleagues \/ eat breakfast and talk six feet \/ apart. It\u2019s loud.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0“WHAT?\u201d
\n16. With long life, some wisdom, \/ and 20\/20 vision, \/ we shout, GO, JOE!
\n17. People meets are few. \/ Roof seagull \u201csoaps\u201d are many.\u00a0 I watch. I’m so hooked.
\n18. Charlie and I read \/ newspapers differently. \/ He is good company.
\n19. My wheelchair could \/ tote golf-bag and drinks on course \/ paths. Ready, Charlie?
\n20. I’ve doodled all my days.\u00a0 Does that make it a way of life? Or worse, a way of thinking?\u00a0 Can you imagine an epitaph worse than, “She thought in 17-syllable ideas?”\u00a0 Probably more, later.<\/p>\n
